In a short amount of time, it’s become a Glasgow institution. In a city where the licensing laws belong in the Middle Ages, Substanz Underground is a bold two-finger salute to 3am curfews – and promoters and punters alike have taken the venture to their hearts. So here we are, attempting to capture some of that special afterhours magic, as we catch the increasingly hot Birmingham producer and One Records label boss Subb-an in action as the Substanz crew take over the Arches, and then back at the regular venue as Glasgow producer and Substanz regular Simon Stokes takes to the decks…
