We catch up with the techno legend to talk about 10 years of music from his label CLR as he plays out at Pressure in Glasgow…
He’s been a champion of the underground for well over a decade, his name synonymous with no-nonsense techno and carrying a little mystique about it. So it might have come as a surprise to some of Chris Liebing’s fans that 2009 saw him changing tack a little, restructuring his label CLR, opening an office in Berlin, and launching a weekly CLR podcast, which now has more than 200.000 monthly listeners. He also officially renamed CLR into Creare Learn Realize to get rid of his ego in the label name. Could it be that as his imprint celebrated its 10th year, Chris was moving out of the shadows?
