Adam Beyer

As he rocks Pressure at the Arches, EQTV corners the Swedish techno god for a chat about his new Drumcode radio show, its seven million listeners, and the constant stream of good music from his label of the same name…

Drumcode, Adam Beyer’s techno foundry, is on a bit of a roll (no pun intended). The label is seemingly unstoppable when it comes to putting out good music, with recent releases from the likes of Slam, Jerome Sydenham, Ben Sims and Alan Fitzpatrick. And with the imprint going so well, Adam has decided to take to the airwaves. The recently launched Drumcode radio show runs across 30 stations and already pulls in around seven million listeners every week. In short, it’s massive, so it’s no surprise that whenever Adam plays out, the crowds are equally huge. We tracked the Swedish producer down to the Arches in Glasgow – where he was hosting a Drumcode night for Pressure – to talk about the label’s ongoing success and techno in general…
