EQTV resident Stu Todd gets busy behind the decks…
With experience behind the decks spanning over a decade, it’s hard to pigeonhole Stu Todd’s sound. After humble beginnings in his home town of Dundee, Stu moved to Edinburgh, enrolling in a sound production course, all the while picking up diverse residencies in the process. The first of these came in the form of Fuse, one of Scotland’s premier electro nights. This took Stu far and wide with the crowning moment seeing Fuse host their own room at Eden in Ibiza for the massive Reclaim the Dancefloor supporting 2manydjs, Aeroplane and Steve Aoki. Stu was pivotal in Fuse’s success as he tirelessly pushed the brand and the music policy.
Stu’s next residency was at Stereotype, one of Edinburgh’s longest running and most credible night. From there, he has guested at other major nights such as Musika and Karnival, supporting a wide range of guests including Joris Voorn, Eric Prydz, Tom Middleton and Style of Eye.
He’s now the newly appointed main room resident for Karnival. Playing a mix of different styles has allowed Stu to develop the jacking house and deep techno side to his personality with support duties going to him for Jesse Rose in August. And his diverse and eclectic style also pricked up the ears of major electro and breaks outfit Sugarbeat, for whom he now has main room warm-up duties.
