See Joris Voorn, Slam and Uner at the Liquid Room for free!
Edinburgh’s Musika gets out the tinsel this Saturday with a massive Christmas party in the company of Joris Voorn, Uner and Slam. It’s a mighty line-up filled with EQTV favourites and is one not to miss. Here’s what the Musika boys have to say about it…
An essential for us in 2011 was to welcome back our good friend Joris Voorn. His performance last year was one of the most talked about sets in years passed, raising the roof to a packed out, wild crowd. By coincidence, Joris returns exactly a year on, so if he delivers anywhere close to that – which we all know he will – we’re in for serious treat.
We also welcome Spanish DJ/producer Under to Scotland for the first time. As one of the key European artists to emerge in recent years, Uner is at the forefront of modern house music and electronic beats, consistently pushing boundaries as an artist. Signed to Solomun’s mighty Hamburg-based label Diynamic, he has delivered some of the year’s coolest underground tracks, including the massive Bassboot and Pallene on Luciano’s Cadenza label. As a DJ you’re likely to catch him playing Europe’s best clubs from Watergate to Space, where he held down a residency throughout the summer alongside Carl Cox and co.
Last on the line-up, but certainly not least – and fresh from touring the globe celebrating 20 years of Soma Records – are Glasgow legends Slam, making a rare Liquid Room appearance. We can’t remember them ever playing the venue, so it’s well overdue.
For your chance to win a pair of tickets to the party this Saturday, just answer the simple question below via our contact form by midday December 16, and we’ll pick a winner at random.
What is the name of Slam’s record label?
Good luck!
