January 27 sees a new venue open in Leeds courtesy of the team behind the excellent Mint Club and Cocoon In The Park. Excited? We are. Here’s what the press release has to say about it…

The team behind the award-winning Mint Club in Leeds – famous for its state of the art Funktion-One soundsystem, contemporary over-head lighting and marathon sets from the world’s biggest DJs – are set to open a new 1,000-capacity event space in January 2012. The Mint Warehouse, located just a few minutes from Leeds train station, will house three rooms – including an outdoor terrace – all fully kitted out with suspended Funktion-One rigs and advanced lighting and visual systems. The large outdoor terrace will be purpose built for daytime parties and will play host to a range of huge headline DJs during the summer months. Line-ups will be released soon and include some of the biggest artists and label showcases from a range of genres, as well as a few surprises thrown in for good measure…

And if that’s not enough to get you hopping, Mint’s own in-house party, System, celebrates its fourth birthday on February 4 with a mighty line-up in store.
